Meet your local guide near Jemaa el-Fna and begin exploring Marrakech beyond the usual sightseeing route. Learn about the history and architecture of the iconic Koutoubia Mosque before entering the lively souks, where artisans work with leather, textiles, carpets, spices, metal and traditional Moroccan crafts. Continue to the magnificent Bahia Palace, known for its elegant courtyards, colorful zellij, carved plaster and painted cedar ceilings. Then discover Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of Marrakech's most impressive architectural treasures and a former center of Islamic learning. Along the way, your guide will share local stories, traditions and insights into daily life inside the Medina. You will also visit a traditional Moroccan herbalist to learn about spices, aromatic plants and oils, with no obligation to purchase anything.
