After your private transfer from Marrakech, meet your local mountain guide in Imlil and begin your walk through the valley. Follow peaceful mountain trails through traditional villages and enjoy panoramic views towards the impressive peaks of the Toubkal Massif. The walk continues towards the Imlil waterfalls, where you can stop to enjoy the scenery and take photographs. From the waterfalls, continue through the mountain villages towards Armed (Aroumd), one of the most picturesque villages in the Imlil Valley. The highlight of the day is a traditional homemade lunch with a local Berber family in Armed. Day Itinerary 08:00 – Pick-up from Marrakech Your driver will collect you from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Leave the city behind and travel south towards the High Atlas Mountains. The drive takes you through the foothills of the Atlas, passing traditional villages and beautiful mountain scenery. 09:30 – Arrive in Imlil Arrive in Imlil, located at approximately 1,740 metres above sea level. Meet your local mountain guide and enjoy a welcome glass of traditional Moroccan mint tea before starting the trek. Your guide will explain the route and introduce you to the local landscape, villages and Amazigh culture. 10:00 – Start the trek through the Berber villages Begin walking from Imlil along peaceful mountain trails. The route passes through traditional Amazigh villages and hamlets including Ait Souka and Targa Imoula, with views across the Imlil Valley. Walk through walnut, apple and cherry orchards, terraced fields and traditional mountain settlements while learning about local agriculture and village life. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop for photographs and enjoy the panoramic mountain scenery. 11:30 – Imlil Waterfalls Continue along the trail to the Imlil waterfalls. Take some time to relax beside the falls, enjoy the fresh mountain air and photograph the surrounding landscape. The waterfall is part of a scenic mountain walk rather than a large cascade, with the surrounding valley, villages and High Atlas scenery making the experience especially enjoyable. 12:15 – Scenic walk towards Armed Village Continue along the mountain paths towards Armed (Aroumd). As the trail climbs above the valley, enjoy increasingly impressive views of the surrounding mountains and the Toubkal Massif. Your guide will point out the villages, valleys and mountain peaks and explain the traditional way of life of the local Amazigh communities. 13:30 – Traditional lunch with a Berber family in Armed Arrive in Armed Village, where a local Amazigh family will welcome you into their home.
