My name is Mustapha, a local tour guide from Morocco with more than four years of experience. I guide travelers through the High Atlas Mountains, Deserts, and many other beautiful places across Morocco. As an Amazigh (Berber), I’m proud of my heritage and love sharing my culture, traditions, stories, and local way of life with travelers, making every experience authentic and memorable.
About this experience
Join me Tour guide Mustapha and discover the beauty of the Atlas Mountains on a full-day trip to Imlil Valley, surrounded by traditional Amazigh villages and spectacular mountain scenery. Your day starts with pickup from Marrakech, followed by a scenic drive towards the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop at a local argan oil cooperative where you can enjoy Moroccan tea and learn about traditional argan products. We then continue through the mountain landscapes to Imlil, the heart of the High Atlas. From here, we’ll take a relaxing walk through the valley, visiting traditional Amazigh villages and beautiful waterfalls while enjoying the fresh mountain air and panoramic views. After the walk, enjoy a delicious traditional Moroccan lunch in a local Amazigh home or restaurant, with time to relax and experience the local culture. Finally, we’ll head back to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon after a beautiful day exploring the Atlas Mountains and experiencing the hospitality and culture of the Amazigh people.

Meet your guide at Argana Café, Hotel Islane, or Collège Mohamed V, then depart from Marrakech toward the High Atlas Mountains.
After meeting you at these meeting point we start our day together towards the Atlas mountains Imlil
10:30 Argan Women Cooperative visit with traditional Moroccan breakfast
Traditional Breakfast & Argan Oil Experience
Visit a beautiful traditional building that was once used for olive oil production and is now home to a women’s argan oil cooperative. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast, discover how argan oil is made, and see a selection of local argan products.

Imlil Village & Mountain Hike to the waterfalls
Arrive in Imlil and start a scenic hike through the Amazigh villages and mountain landscapes. The hike takes around 1.5 hours, up to 2 hours maximum, including a visit to the beautiful local waterfalls.

Traditional Berber Lunch
After the hike, enjoy a delicious homemade Moroccan lunch in a traditional Berber house, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Return to Marrakech
Relax on the way back to Marrakech after a full day exploring the Atlas Mountains and experiencing local Amazigh culture.
