About this experience
Escape the coast for a morning in Paradise Valley, a hidden palm-filled gorge in the Atlas foothills, about an hour from Agadir and Taghazout. I'm Med, a local Amazigh guide from Aourir. We'll leave early to beat the crowds and the heat, then hike an easy trail along the river, past palm groves, argan trees and small Berber villages. You'll reach natural turquoise pools surrounded by red rock cliffs, where you can swim, relax on the rocks, or jump in if you're brave. Along the way I'll share stories about Amazigh life, the plants of the valley, and how local families live here. We finish in the village with a homemade tagine lunch, slow-cooked the traditional way, served with fresh bread and Moroccan mint tea, before heading back. This is a small, private trip for up to 2 guests, so we go at your pace. Suitable for most fitness levels. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and comfortable shoes.
